This Privacy Policy explains how Marc Le Boeuf, operating LStack (“LStack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit https://lstack.ai, join our beta or waitlist, contact us, or use LStack-related services.

LStack is a local-first software execution platform that helps users manage AI-assisted development work through a Kanban-style dashboard. The platform is designed so that project code, workers, and project runtimes operate primarily on the user’s own machine or infrastructure. Our website and related online services may collect limited account, contact, analytics, and technical information as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to the LStack website, beta, waitlist, invitation, account-related pages, support communications, and LStack web services or console features that link to this policy. It does not create any guarantee that all product features are currently available. Some LStack features may be released gradually during beta.

This policy does not apply to data that remains solely on your own machine or infrastructure and is not transmitted to us. For example, project source code, local Docker containers, local worker activity, and local project runtime data may remain under your control depending on how you configure and use LStack.

2. What We Collect & Why

We collect information in a few main ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, account or product usage information, and limited information from service providers.

When you register for an account, join a waitlist, request beta access, contact support, submit feedback, or communicate with us, we may collect information such as your name, email address, account registration details, support requests, communication records, issue reports, and other messages you send us. We use this information to manage accounts, provide beta access, respond to requests, communicate with you, and improve LStack.

When you visit our website or use online LStack services, we may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location inferred from IP address, cookie and analytics identifiers, website usage data, interaction data, error logs, diagnostic records, and other technical log information. We use this information to operate the website, understand usage, improve performance, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and evaluate product interest.

If you create an account or use LStack services, we may collect account and product usage information such as account settings, preferences, login or authentication-related records, feature usage, project or dashboard metadata needed to operate the service, system events, error logs, and diagnostic records.

We do not intentionally collect the contents of your local project source code unless you choose to submit it to us, upload it, include it in a support request, or use a feature that clearly sends that information to LStack.

We do not buy personal information from data brokers. We may receive limited information from service providers that help us operate the website and related services. For example, Google Analytics may provide aggregated or pseudonymous analytics information about website usage.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use account and contact information to manage beta access, support user accounts, operate the website, dashboard, or console, deliver requested features, send service-related messages, respond to support requests, provide beta updates, notify you about account activity, and send important security or policy notices.

These may include Firebase or Google Cloud services for hosting, backend infrastructure, authentication, database, or related website and app services; Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode for analytics and usage measurement; and email, support, security, monitoring, or infrastructure providers we use to operate the service. These service providers are only permitted to process information as needed to provide services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, court order, government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of LStack, our users, or others.

If LStack or its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If this happens, we will take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your own devices, local development environments, Docker environments, credentials, and any project data stored or processed locally.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

This may include retaining information as needed to provide and maintain the service, manage accounts and beta access, respond to support requests, maintain security and prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, de-identify it, or retain it only as required by law or legitimate business needs. Technical logs and analytics records may be retained for a limited period to support security, diagnostics, and product improvement.

11. Local-First Product Data

LStack is designed to operate primarily with local or user-controlled execution resources. Depending on your configuration, your project source code, project files, AI worker activity, runtime logs, environment variables, secrets, and generated software may remain on your own machine or infrastructure.

LStack does not intentionally collect your local project source code, local runtime data, local environment variables, or local secrets unless you choose to provide that information to us, submit it in a support request, upload it through a feature that clearly sends it to LStack, or use a specific service feature that is designed to transmit that information and discloses that behavior.

You should avoid sending us secrets, API keys, credentials, private source code, or confidential information through support channels unless specifically requested and appropriate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by email, through the website, or within the service.
